TROUBLESHOOTING - Pilot Not Connecting

  • Ask client to check that all cables are seated correctly in the back of the station/server/switch or router
  • Check that all IP's are set to static range, under no circumstance are you allowed to set IP to DHCP at site
  • Check that firewall is off
  • Check that you can ping workstation/server, if you cannot ping the pc, open run and then type in \\PCNAME and if prompted to enter user name and password do so, try again to ping the station/server
  • On server, open SQL configuration manager and check under network protocols that the dynamic port is blank and the TCP/IP port is 1433
  • Check if the MS SQL Server and SQL server browser services are running
